What is the formula for the maximum current through each bar?(a) maximum value of the current through each bar = 2 * current through each bar(b) maximum value of the current through each bar = (2 * current through each bar)^1/2(c) maximum value of the current through each bar = (2 * current through each bar)^2(d) maximum value of the current through each bar = (2 * current through each bar)^1/3I have been asked this question by my school principal while I was bunking the class.I'd like to ask this question from Design of End Rings topic in chapter Three Phase Induction Motor of Design of Electrical Machines

Answer»

Correct answer is (b) maximum value of the CURRENT through each bar = (2 * current through each bar)^1/2

To explain I would say: Firstly, the current through each bar is calculated. Then it is multiplied by 2 and its square ROOT provides the maximum value of current through each bar is obtained.
