1.	What is the importance of evaporation? Where is this technique used on a large scale?
Answer» Evaporation is used to separate solids dissolved in liquids, mainly water. It is used on a large scale to obtain common salt from sea water. Sea water is left in the open in large containers on sunny days. After a few days salt remains as residue and water evaporates. Common salt is then further purified.
