Parliament has four main functions: legislation (making laws), representation (acting on behalf of voters and citizens), scrutiny (examining the government), and formation of government.The lok SABHA is known as the house of the people and is the lower house. We may think as it is the lower house it does not have POWERS but it is not so. The lok sabha is powerful, for example-in money matters the lok sabha ENJOYS more powers.Its powers and functions can be classified in to following heads:(1). Legislative powers (2).
