1.	What is the role of diffusion in heterogeneous catalysis ?
Answer» The gas molecules diffuse onto the surface of the catalyst and get absorbed. After the chemical change, the products formed diffuse away from the surface of the catalyst setting the surface free for other reactant molecules to adsorb on the surface and give the product.
