Answer» Metaphysical poetry investigates the relation between rational, logical argument on the one hand, and intuition or “mysticism” on the other, often depicted with sensuous details. The metaphysical poets reacted against the deliberately smooth and sweet tones of 16th century verse. And they adopted a style that is energetic, uneven, and rigorous. T.S. Eliot argued that their work fuses reason with passion. आध्यात्मिक काव्य एक ओर तार्किक तत्व वे दूसरी ओर अन्तर्ज्ञान या रहस्यवाद के बीच सम्बन्ध का पता लगाता है, इसका चित्रण अधिकांशतः इन्द्रियजनित विवरण के साथ किया जाता है। आध्यात्मिक कवियों ने 16वीं शताब्दी के काव्य में विचारपूर्ण तरीके (सोच समझ कर किये गये तरीके) से प्रयुक्त की गयी सरल व मधुर लयों के विरुद्ध प्रतिक्रिया की। और उन्होंने काव्य की ऐसी शैली को अपनाया जो ऊर्जायुक्त, विलक्षण (uneven) और कठिन है। T.S. Eliot का तर्क था कि उनका (आध्यत्मिक कवियों का).लेखन तर्क को उनके अति उत्साह या passion से जोड़ता है। |
