What is value added? |
|
Answer» It refers to the addition made in the value of intermediate goods by a firm with the help of factors of production. For example, a cotton textile mill buys raw materials worth Rs. 1000 and converts them into cotton cloth whose market value is Rs. 1500. Here, value added by the firm is Rs.500 (1000-500). |
