Answer» Winnowing: In winnowing the grains are poured out of a basket or tray held high up the wind blows the chaff, dust, and lighter seeds aside, while the heavy grains collect below. Winnowing is a process by which chaff is separated from grain. It can also be used to remove pests from stored grain. Winnowing usually follows threshing in grain preparation. |
