1.

What reasons would you assign for a rapid population growth in the developing countries

Answer»

Answer:

Rapid population growth in developing countries is because of several factors: limited access to FAMILY planning, religious beliefs, soperstitions, etc, but the main REASON for the increase is lack of money by the population as a whole.

As a country develops and becomes more affluent, birthrates go down as the society makes the transition from a society based on agriculture to a society based on SERVICES. It is no longer profitable for the farmer to have many children as where will they WORK, and how expensive will it be to send everyone to school? In traditional societies it was (or is) beneficial for parents to have many children. In a society making the transition from 3rd WORLD to 1st it is not.
