What rights were granted to the federal government by the force bill |
|
Answer» In GENERAL, the Force Bill gave the U.S. government the right to enforce federal laws. Specifically, the Force Bill allowed the use of the nation's MILITARY forces to enforce the TARIFF Acts which South Carolina had ignored. The Force Bill arose from the belief that states did not have to adhere to any federal law which they believed was not within the scope of the authority of the federal government. As a result of the Force Bill, the states realized that the federal government did have the right to enforce laws that it ENACTED even if the states did not agree with them.Explanation: |
