Answer» Maximilien ROBESPIERRE (1758 – 1794) was aninfluential, radical Jacobin leader during the French revolution.
He was a member of the Committee of Public Safety,of the REVOLUTIONARY government, during this period. He was outspoken for thecause of the poor. He argued for cheaper basic food COMMODITIES, abolition ofslavery in French colonies, among other activities. He was however, OUSTED fromhis position and executed in 1794. |
