What was the importance of Rowlatt act on the National movement?

Answer» In March 1919, Justice ROWLATT passed the famous Rowlatt act, named after him. This act was popularly called the Black Act as it curtailed the freedom of INDIAN people.The clauses of the Act were :
i) To search WITHOUT a warrant.
ii) To CONDUCT trial without a jury.
iii) IMPRISONMENT for an indefinite period of time.
