Answer» ecconomic- louis 16 helped the 13 american colonies to gain their independence from britan and the war added more financial problem to france . the french govt was forced to spend more budget for the intrest payment of the loans alone. church extracted its share of taxes called tithes from the peasants and taille a direct tax to the state by all the members of the third estate.social cause- the french society was divided into three estates where the members of the first and second estates enjoyed certain privileges from birth. the third estate who were big buissnessman ,merchants. etc...., suffered alot . the peasants were obliged to render services to the lord , forced to pay taxes. their social and ecconomic conditions were worst
