Due to its vastness Russia had relations with many countries of Asia and Europe. The main objectives of Russian foreign policy were as follows : The security of borders. Uninterrupted traffic in the Black Sea. To get a reasonable territory of states which were removed from the map. To control the ambitions of Britain in Middle East. To set up its own domination by stopping expansion of Japanese Empire in East Asia.
