What were women\'s role in French Revolution?

Answer» Women were active participants in the French Revolution. The participated with the hope that it would get the right to vote. Women did not have any access to education. Only women belonging to elite families was sent to Convents and later were married off. Women belonging to four families had to work as domestic workers in the houses of the elites. Working women had to also take care of their family and household works. The wages were always less than that of men. To voice their demands and aspirations women began forming Associations and distributing Pamphlets.
