These colonial cities were the prime link between the economic centre or core in Britain and periphery or margins in colonised India. 2 Prom these coastatcities, primmry commodites could be easily exported and manufacțured goods could be cheaply imported. That is why, these cities were well developed by British. The communication transportation and other facilities were built, new buildings for branch offices constructed, coastlines created and a lot of other facilities were made available as well. |
