Lense lead easy passing of light from one medium to another thus causing refraction. In case of MIRROR, light gets reflected back thus forming image. 5. Concave mirror produces real and inverted images except when the object is placed between pole and FOCUS. But the convex mirror always produces virtual and erect images. 6. Luminous BODIES reflect light of their own. For example, non-luminous objects of the sun reflect light by taking light from other luminous objects. E.g.moon 7. The convex mirror forms highly diminished image. As a result it is used as a rear view mirror. 8. If you look into a concave mirror, you can SEE an enlarged image when placed close and can see an inverted image when kept away. A convex mirror always forms a small and erect image. |
