Answer» The land available in villages is mostly used for agriculture, grazing and for constructing ponds. The reason is that, even today a major part of Indian population is engaged in agricultural activities. Animal husbandry is an auxiliary occupation. Therefore in villages we find agricultural land, pasture land and land used for ponds.
