Which type of sub unit present in lysosomes |
| Answer» Lysosomes are membrane-bound vesicles that contain\xa0digestive enzymes, such as\xa0glycosidases,\xa0proteases\xa0and\xa0sulfatases. Lysosomal enzymes are synthesized in the\xa0endoplasmic reticulum\xa0(ER), are transported to the Golgi apparatus, and are tagged for lysosomes by the addition of\xa0mannose-6-phosphate\xa0label. There are two types of lysosomes; secretory lysosomes and conventional ones. Conventional lysosomes are involved in the dismantling and re-cycling of various substrates presented to them through endocytocis,\xa0phagocytosis\xa0and by autophagosomes. They are responsible for returning many amino acids to the system. | |
