Later on, his grandchildren revolutionized the Gutenberg's printing press. 1- The first development was Tolbert Lanston's monotype machine in 1884 that ALLOWED the people to type the text instead of picking metal LETTERS. 2- After that, Ottmar Mergenthaler invented the operator linotype machine that was used to fuse the individual letters into a line. 3- The NEXT development was Frederick Ives, who invented a way to write a paragraph in print. |
