Answer» Bahadur Shah Zafar II was the last Mughal ruler of Delhi. He accepted to lead the revolt of 1857. Although he had become old, he took leadership of the revolt. Bahadur Shah Zafar formed this revolt as a war which was started by soldiers. On his name, letters were written to Indian rulers to participate in the revolt. But at last he was defeated and was imprisoned. He was interned and sent to Rangoon where he died in 1862.
