Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1(stylised asGangs of वासेपुर) is a 2012 IndianHindi-languagecrime filmdirected byAnurag Kashyap,and written by Kashyap andZeishan Quadri. It is the first installment of theGangs of Wasseypurseries, centered on thecoal mafia of Dhanbad, Jharkhand, and the underlying power struggles, politics and vengeance between three crime families.Part 1features ensemble cast withManoj Bajpayee,Nawazuddin Siddiqui,Richa Chadda,Huma Qureshi,Vineet Kumar Singh,Tigmanshu DhuliaandPankaj Tripathiin the major roles.
