who was Socrates ? Describe his physical features and early education. |

Answer» Socrates lived in Athens about four hundred years before Jesus Christ was born. He was a fearless philosopher and spoke what seemed right to him. The men who governed Athens did not like him and he was ultimately made to drink a cup of poison. As a boy, he was ugly, short and had a flat nose and bulging eyes. Like other boys of his age, he went to school where he had to learn music and gymnastics. He also learned some science and mathematics and a little about the stars. He did not learn much history and geography. |
