Answer» Solution :(i) In the stupa of SANCHI, the sculpture seemed to depict a rural scene with thatched huts and trees, recognised a scene from the Vessantara Jataka. This was a STORY of a kind king. (ii) In another scene in the stupa, the wandering story tellers carrying scrolls of a paper with PICTURES on them and pointed to the pictures as they told a story. So, they are called the same . |
