| Answer» The circular shape of the tyre is the most suitable shape for faster rolling on the roads and also only point of contact between vehicle & the road.The circle shape is the shape that provides the least rolling resistance therefore it provides the least loss of energy when converting rotational energy to linear kinetic energy.Any shape other than a circle is going to present points that dig into the surface you are trying to traverse and require extra energy to undig.However the circle shape does dig into a surface so resistance caused by gravity does not have to be opposed. | |
