Why desert cooler gives cool air |

Answer» in a desert cooler hot dry air is sucked through wet pads of wood shavings .watre take up heat from hot air as it evapourates.Due to faster rate of evapouration,desert cooler gives coo air. A desert cooler works on the principle of evaporation. On a hot dry day the amount of water vapour/humidity content in the air is less.As we alrady know that evaporation increases when the humidity content in the air is less. So a desert cooler cools better on a hot dry day. The cooling in a desert room cooler is due to the process of evaporation. |
