Answer» Gandhi decided to call off the movement after the CHAURA -chauri incident.Ghandhiji was an Ardent BELIEVER in non violence and when he got to know that's one of the peasant who were holding a protest BURNED a police station and killed TWENTY two policemen he was greatly Hurt and THUS he took the step to call off the movement .
