Why did it become necessary to launch technical education in the early 20th century? |
|
Answer» The early twentieth century India was backward in the technical education. In the Shimla Education Sammelan 1901 Lord Curzon stressed the need for making technical education an inalienable part of education. It was not possible to export raw material from India to England due to the deteriorating economic condition. It thus, became necessary to establish the machinery factories in India and as such the technical education had to be launched in India. It was started after the First World War and was developed after the Second World War. |
