Answer» Even diamond CONTAINS more than 90% of carbon where as GRAPHITE is made up of lesser percentage of carbon Diamond and graphite are the two allotropes of carbon but they do not evolve sameamount of heat on combustion because they differ in the ARRANGEMENT of carbonatoms and also their SHAPES one different.
