The strip of wet cloth is COLDER than the body temperature. When we keep the strip of wet cloth, the heat of the forehead gets transferred to the wet cloth and the coldness of the cloth gets transferred to the forehead and so the person suffering from fever feel well as some amount of heat gets transferred to the cloth and the temperature lowers . |
