Why do we suffer from common cold repetitively in our life, but other viral diseases like Influenza or Small pox only once? |

Answer» Influenza infection causes production of antibodies in our body, once the virus attacks us. Therefore, second encounter with the virus may not cause effect. But in case of common cold, large number of different virus families are responsible for developing infection of common cold. Many a times different allergens are also inducing agents for common cold. Thus we may suffer from common cold again and again. |
