Why do we take W=-PΔV in negetive? |

Answer» because we take dV as (final volume - initial volume)And as you know final volume is less than the initial volume due to more pressure in side.then the value of dV is negative.hence,W=P(-dV) => W=-PdV Because it is in opposite direction |
