Why does a ship make of iron float while a sheet of iron sinks? |
Answer» The structure of a ship is much bigger than that of iron sheet. When a ship enters in water, it displaces a large volume of water, whereas, the weight of water displaced by an iron sheet is much higher when it enters in water than the ship. As a result, iron sheet sinks, while a ship floats on water. |
