Why does the colour of an iron nail and copper sulphate solution changes its colour when dipped ? |
Answer» AnswEr :-The key to the explanation is the single displacement reaction. As we know that iron is more REACTIVE than copper, the more reactive metal displaces the less reactive metal. This is the reason why the copper sulphate solution colour CHANGES its colour from blue to pale green. Also, the iron NAIL becomes brownish in colour. Reaction :- |
