Why doesn't light carry momentum ? |
|
Answer» t does carry momentum. Momentum can be thought of as an OBJECT's ability to push another object due to its motion. Classically, momentum is DEFINED as the MASS of the object times the velocity of the object, p = MV. Since light has no mass, you may be tempted to say that light has no momentum. |
