Why has amniocentesis been banned? |

Answer» Amniocentesis is a parental diagnostic technique to determine the genetic disorders in the foetus. Small amount of amniotic fluid is drawn with a syringe. Amniotic fluid contains some foetal cells which can be examination for chromosomal abnormalities. Amniocentesis is being misused to kill the normal female foetuses. That is why this malpractice is banned. |
