Why ice flotes on water |

Answer» Because it has vacant space b/w them and has lesser density than water Ritika\'s answer is awesome... Because it has some cavities filled with air which makes its density lesser than water.So that\'s why ice floats on water. Ice Density is less than that of water Because it has cage like structure due to this water is not closely packed in ice but have vacant space between them due to this it has smaller density than water and floats on water Because it have some space between them and in which air fill that\'s why ice flows on water |
