Why india has been a soft target for invader |
|
Answer» India was the most advanced and rich civilization in ancient times. REMAINING true to the heredity of the ancestors, the then Indian kings maintained their supremacy in the region. And that’s what made India LIKE the “Ultimate Prize” to the CONQUERORS. Conquering India was one of “Impossible” tasks in those days. Achieving this feat meant a permanent footprint in the course of history. That is the reason why so many conquerors were attracted towards India. And now I am coming to the part saying “so many times”. She was invaded many times because almost everybody failed to conquer India. The legendary Assyrians and Persians were massacred in the battlefield. The undaunted Greeks were shaken from the core just after a low-level skirmish. The central-asian barbarians were wiped out from existence. Hunas, who were known to put an end to Roman empire, met their nemesis on the other side of Himalayas. Arab caliphate did not dare to look BACK on their escape route before they cross the river Indus. Royal army of Turks were annihilated. Mughals tried to survive through diplomacy but at the end there was Hindu uprising again. British only became SUCCESSFUL because of traitors inside. Still, “conquering India” is an unfinished business to all. Hopefully that answers your question. |
