Due to land degradation, the quality, productivity and usefulness of land has reduced. Land conservation is highly important to maintain the quality of land. All creatures are associalted to land and they meet all their needs from land. Even human beings are associated with land all their life, therefore it is important to conserve it.

The food for increasing population, cattle feed for animals, raw material for agriculture-based industries, etc, all are dependent on the quality of land. Hence land conservation is essential. Problems we will face if land is not conserved : 

By not conserving land the following problems may arise : 

• The quality of land will completely deteriorate. 
• There will be reduction in productivity and usefulness of land. 
• There will be food shortage for the increasing population. 
• Problems of inavailability of sufficient quantity of cattle feed may arise. 
• Forest land may reduce which will have adverse impact on our environment. 
• The animals and creatures which live on land will be adversely affected due to polluted land. 
• The agriculture-based industries will also suffer as they are dependent on land for their raw material.
