Why quicklime when disolved in water become hot

Answer»

I HOPE it helps U.
LIMESTONE when heated, it breaks down to form calcium oxide and CARBON dioxide. Calcium oxidereacts with water to form calcium hydroxide, also called slaked lime. A lot of heat (exothermic reaction) is produced in the reaction, which may even cause the water to boil.
