Without\xa0scribes, letters\xa0would\xa0not have been written or read, royal monuments\xa0would\xa0not have been carved with cuneiform, and stories\xa0would\xa0have been told and then forgotten.\xa0Over thousands of years,\xa0Mesopotamian scribes\xa0recorded daily events, trade, astronomy, and literature on clay tablets.
