Why should we follow traffic rules? |

Answer» The reason why you should abide by traffic rules is because of the decision process that drivers go through. Complex traffic situations can arise that require assessment of multiple factors and having a vehicle behave in predicable ways (following the road rules) mitigates the stress of the decisions. We all know that speed, in of itself, doesn't kill anyone otherwise there would be no F1 or space launches. The big difference is the level of preparation and training for those endeavours and you can believe that predictability is what those guys and gals want.When dealing with a vast cohort of inadequately trained and often impulsive people in charge of 2 tonne machinery, you better hope that drivers are behaving within established road rules. |
