Why solids cannot be compress but gas can compress

Answer» Solids have negligible intermolecular space and gases have large intermolecular forces of attraction
Because particles of gas have greater space between them as compared to space present between particles of solid.
Space not force
because gas particals are not closley packed and solid parlticles are closly packed then we not campress the solid
Because solid have no Interparticular force but gas have inter particular space
