Why steel is more elastic than rubber ?? |

Answer» As we know that the elasticity of the material is greater if it\'s resistance to change its original shape is greater. So for a given stress,strain is much smaller in Steel than in rubber and hence steel is more elastic as compared to rubber. Steel is more elastic than rubber because steel comes back in its original shape faster than the rubber when the deforming forces are removed. |
