Why steel is more elastic than rubber ? |
| Answer» Because of yield point of steel is greater than the rubber<br>You must have seen stress strain graph.When on applying very low stress the strain is very much in case of rubber. Practically also u need very small force to strech a rubber. But it breaks easily that means it doesn\'t posses much plasticity.While need a lot of force to strech a steel is required and its plasticity period is large. I doesn\'t break easily intead it occupies a new strech limit after every streching. | |
