Why was Douglas determined to get over his fear of water? |
|
Answer» After some years Douglas desperately wanted to get rid of his paralysing fear because any activity, bathing or in the water would bring back the icy horror of the pool. It was a terrible handicapped that had seized his mind completely. His legs would become paralysed thinking of the swimming pool incident. He wanted to overcome it because the terrified fear had removed his fishing trips and deprived him of the joy of boating and swimming. |
