So, to create awareness among the people against thisconspiracy, they launched anti partition propaganda among the peoplethrough various meetings and writings realizing that the partition ofBengal would be a threat to the heritage of Bengalis and Hindu-Muslimunity as well. They protested in many ways against the idea of partitionof Bengal. But when it became clear that the government was adamant toimplement this partition, the anti government feeling rose gradually amongthe people of Bengal. Since the public opinion was disrespected, thewhole Bengal broke out into national movement against this partitionHindu-Muslim unity was put under threat and Bengali nationalism waswounded.
