Answer» to vetti was important for all kinds of peasants. This was a practice of forcing peasants to WORK for minimal wages for long hours to YIELD the MAXIMUM produce. This practice was against human rights.When vetti ended, landlords had to offer peasants not only flexible working hours but also reasonable wages to work on their LAND. They could not be compelled to work and could choose their working ENVIRONMENT. |
