Why work done on the system is negative in physics while it is positive in chemistry? |
| Answer» in physics we want to make the system work for us but when we have to work on the system it is taken negative and in chemistry we want to work on the system so it is taken as positive<br>It is not compressio it is expansion<br>No , in chemistry also work done is negative. In thermo-d if we find work done when gas is compressed it will comes out to be negative | |
