1.	With reference to semiconductor devices, define ap-type semiconductor and a Zener diode. What is the use of a Zener diode ?
Answer» A semiconductor which has more holes than electrons is called a p-type semiconductor. A Zener diode is a highly dope p-n junction which is operated in reverse bias. It is used as a voltage regulator.
