Answer» Akik is a kind of precious stone which is generally found in river valleys. It is a chalcedonic variant of quartz. Chalcedony is silica blue or white quartz. Carnelian, is a well-known variety of chalcedonic. It is a red coloured semi-transparent beautiful stone. In Gujarat, various precious stones are available in big and small size at Ahmedabad, Ranpur and Surat. All these stones are sent to Khabhat for converting into various beautiful ornaments. |
